The purpose of this study was to determine the status of social education components in sixth grade elementary social studies and its adaptation to social realities from the perspective of students, teachers and their parents. Quantitative content analysis was used to determine the status of the components of social education in sixth grade social studies textbooks and descriptive-survey research was used to examine its adaptation to social realities from the perspective of students, teachers and parents. The statistical population of the study consisted of sixth grade elementary social studies books as well as students, their parents and sixth grade teachers of Sufian city. According to Morgan's table, 125 students and their parents and 30 teachers were selected. Checklists and questionnaires were used to collect data. Content validity was used to determine the validity of the instruments using the viewpoints of instructor and counselor professors as well as instructors of the Department of Educational Sciences. The reliability of the check list was determined by the carcass agreement coefficient and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.92. Content analysis and univariate t-test were also used for data analysis. The results of content analysis showed that the sixth grade textbooks covered all the components of social education and the results of univariate t test showed that the adaptability of the seven components of social education was above average.
