The present research was conducted with the aim of evaluating television programs of the Education Network: a case study of mathematics lessons. To achieve this goal, a quantitative content analysis method was used. The statistical population of the research comprised the television programs of the Education Network in mathematics for the fifth grade of elementary school during the second half of 1402-1403, which were evaluated by 20 teachers for a total of 9 hours. A one-sample t-test was used to analyze the data, and Friedman's test was also used to rank the degree of compliance with the principles of educational design in the TV programs of the Education Network in mathematics. The results of Friedman's ranking showed that the technical dimension, content, and teaching design were, respectively, more respected in the TV programs of the Education Network in mathematics. The results of the one-sample t-test showed that the principles of educational design, the technical dimension, the content dimension, and the teaching plan dimension were significant, but among the components of the teaching plan, the components of attracting and maintaining attention, reflection and thinking, feedback and reinforcement of learning, application, evaluation, and summarization of the presented materials were not significant. Therefore, educational designers should pay more attention to the components of attracting and maintaining attention, reflection and thinking, feedback and reinforcement of learning, application, evaluation, and summarization of the presented materials from the teaching plan dimension to improve the quality of learning for learners in the education channelin mathematics.
