The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the Bybee's teaching method on educational motivation and academic buoyancy of sixth grade elementary students. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. Accordingly, 30 students were selected from among the sixth grade female elementary students in Fuladshahr in the academic year 2021-2022 using the available sampling method and considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study and were divided into two experimental and control groups (15 students in each group) and replaced. The experimental group was exposed to five sessions of the Bybee's teaching method based on the educational content of Mehdizadeh & et al. (2017), and the control group did not receive any training. To collect data, Dehghanizadeh & Hosseinchari (2012) academic buoyancy questionnaire and Harter's (1980) Educational Motivation Scale were used. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS-25 software and the multivariate covariance statistical method. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed that the Bybee's teaching method improved academic motivation and academic buoyancy in students (P<0.001). Given that teaching strategies based on the Bybee's teaching method was effective in students' academic structures and behaviors, it is suggested that school psychologists and sometimes teachers use this strategy to improve students' learning and academic activities.
