Abstract
Background and Objectives: The importance of social capitals on students' life is not ignorable. Truly at the age of cognition studying cognition and cognitive skills is necessary. This research has tried to combine the issue of social capitals and the cognition to study the relationship between some school capitals of students with their cognitive skills.
Methods: the current research has tried to study the subject based on the positivist pattern and comparative approach and in a quantitative way by using questionnaire. The research strategy is of a descriptive-survey type and the statistical population of the research is 9517 female and male high school students in the first education and training district of Tabriz. Using Cochran's formula 1163. students were selected as the sample. The current research was conducted in the academic year 2022-2023.
Findings: The findings of the research show that the average cognitive skills of the students are higher than the average of the spectrum. Also, the average variables of teacher-student interaction, class participation and students' sense of belonging have been evaluated as satisfactory. To test the conceptual model and research hypotheses, the regression model of cognitive skills as well as structural equation modeling using Emus Graphics software were used.
Conclusion: The results show that the variables of teacher-student interaction, class participation, and sense of belonging have a significant and positive effect on students' cognitive skills. As a result, it is necessary to pay attention to students' school capitals as effective factors on students' cognitive skills.
